what was it?

I was at the cabin yesterday (Willow River area, just south of Moose Lake) and saw three "pups" of some kind. They weren't very big (about the size of a 12 week old lab), and were almost completly grey. One was not very afraid of me and actually came towards my truck when I was stopped. I know there are wolves in the area with coyotes as well, just wondering if anyone knows enough about either animal to help me make an identification. I looked on the internet for pics and it looks like most coyote pups are more brown than grey but from the distance I saw them at it was hard to get any other distinct characteristics. Thanks in advance for the feedback. Would be cool if they turned out to be wolves!!

SetterGuy, you might want to use off sets as drunk Yetis can get pretty ugly! I myself had to rassel a drunk Yeti up in the Two Harbors area when we were trapping Martin...you believe that, Don't you?

All the coyote pups I have seen have been the * rusty * brown/orange color.

Its possible they were wolves, but dont outrule domestic breed dogs, or domestic/wolf cross that an owner *disposed* of the pups.

The best dog/wolf I ever I had I got from Lake Millacs (ice fishing) which was from a *discarded litter* that was donated to the lake from a *local*.... A vet confirmed the dog was a malamute/coyote cross.. it lived to 21 years old and was a great pet.
