muskie hunter
Anyone have an idea where in the lake they would be? What kind of baits to use?
ZachD
There is a couple articles online try doing a google search ice fishing for bullheads. It seems very late ice in shallow muddy bottoms. Using small crappie minnows. I guess you could target a lake that only had bullheads in it as well? I know a couple in the metro like that, I think that would be the best start at least you knew when you marked fish it would positively be a bullhead. Then you could apply where you found them on those lakes to others.

Nathansdad
I caught one in February a few years ago. It was in the middle of the lake basin, 34 feet of water, suspended 10 feet off the bottom. Very odd and very surprised to bring that up.
