MikeRaetz
We were fishing a northern lake last week that we had went out on before that showed alot of potential for big crappies so we decided to go back out and hit our area one more time where we found them last. When we got there we noticed that people had moved in to the area we fished last but were still on the outside of our spot and were staying in 15 fow which left us alot of ground to hole hop. We fished 6 to 8 fow but only focused on 1 to 3 ft from the bottom of the ice for the bigger crappies!!! Plastics took it home today for big fish. Hot colors were pink pink pink!! 2 inch wedgie plastics and white 80th oz jig heads with blood red Aberdeen hooks. Very simple set up but a deadly one!! Try to focus on the outside of spawning bays or just into them. We have been seeing more and fishy activity going on there and it is only going to get better by the day. Have a steady presentation and keep moving and work as a team to keep the schools around a little longer. It makes a big impact in shallow water. Here are a few pics from the other day!! Hope you enjoy

MikeRaetz
Thanks everyone!! Its been a great year and its sad to see it slowly coming to an end but Im going to stick it out as long as the ice stays safe!!! A ton of my success this year for bigger fish has been the lake finder. I am one of those dorks that sit there for hours looking at lakes seeing which ones I want to check out and then studying my lake map books for areas to drill out. I cant forget about my scout and fl-20. I have covered alot of ground walking in the early season and this late ice season and the scout makes walking a mile or 2 distances easy and doesn't kill my back when doing it. The mobility to move from hole to hole on the windy and cold days was a breeze this year compared to other years dragging my nook or voyager along. I drill tons of holes and always keep moving so this has made a world of difference. Great report Mikey!! Lets hit the ice soon! Jimmy, See you next weekend buddy!!!
