Tod Todd
Well not that cool Jake my middle son had got an X box game that he shares with his brother and sister for Christmas and thought it would be better to take the game back and get some fishing gear. While I was out of town mom took the kids to return unwanted or doubles gifts so after Jake got his cash from the video game he asked mom to take him to Gander Mountain to look for a rod and tackle of his own. Jake picked out a Genz combo and a few packs of Custom Jigs & Spins lures all on his own. My first reaction was why when I have piles of gear with a lot still in the package that he uses, but after a look from mom and maybe a hit in the side I was back thinking straight and saying wow this is my son and wants his own gear and to fish like dad. We had to run down to the local pond to try out his new purchase.

JuanArellano
I have been blessed to have the opportunity to fish and become very close friends with Tod Todd, Over the year I have gotten to know Jake and let me tell you he is a ice fishing machine... This year for the first time he made the road trip with us to fish early ice, a 1800 mile round trip... You are a great Dad T3... and Jake is a even better fisherman than all of us... Scott Seibert
Todd, You have a great kid he knows what important. Reminds me of Kody and his games he never played because we went fishing instaed of sitting behind the TV. We need more kids like yours to put down the games and get outside and enjoy the fresh air. Lawrence Luoma
I Love Dave's quote in his new book about the cost of a Vexilar and ice fishing equipment for your kids. "And it costs money to be in soccer, and gymnastics, and dance, and hockey, right? And those are not necessarily lifetime sports, whereas fishing is." Dave Genz Heck if anything use that line with your Wife to upgrade your Vexilar and hand your kid you old one. HE HE. Nice story Tod and see you this weekend at Okoboji. LynnCummings
Took out my marcum LX-I today for the first time. Works great and even beeps and tells you what depth fish are at. Had a productive morning catching big male blue gills, brought home 18, threw back a lot. Clear Lake friday for walleye and crappie.
