funbilly
Looking to get back into ice fishing and it will be mainly me and sometimes my son who is 6, going out. I do not have a four wheeler or snowmobile so I will be walking out every time. I'm looking at the nanook or the yukon and I like the idea of the thermal just dont know which way to go. Any thoughts or advice is welcome. Does anyone know a store that would have both of these set up to check out.
BartmanMN
Depends if you want the extra headroom or not. Since you pull by hand, Nanook is perfect for that. I have a guide and pulling is a dream. I laugh at my friends pulling their Predators, etc by hand. If your kid is little, the house is light enough they he/she can sit on top while you pull. That is what I do.
Charlie Mason
The Nanook would be my pulling choice as well, the thermal feature is nice, love it on the Voyager TCX. If you do not want to deal with the extra weight though, a small heater will keep you both fairly comfortable if needed
Kevan Paul
(Nanook)--Its not only a great two man but It makes a sweet One man. This is one of Clam's best sellers.

They sit on two buckets while I pull. Great thing to lighten it up is remove the metal harness and the nice seats that come with it. They're close to 40 pounds when all put together. We use camping chairs - super light and fold down to nothing. Good luck. ao

Bernie Keefe
I agree with the Nanook. The thermal with a heater will keep you comfortable all day and they pull easy.
Jason Hamilton
I've been really impressed with my Nanook Thermal this season so far. Really light to pull around on the smaller lakes with ease. Also what a difference the thermal made on the weekend when it was -35C out. Was able to fish comfortably with the Big Buddy on med. Jim Hudson
Hand pulling, definitely the Nanook. Also, if you are near a Gander MTN, and are an Ice Team member - remember with the perk card you can save an extra 5% on your purchase (even on sale prices). Good luck getting back into the game this winter. Looking forward to seeing a few pictures and reports from your adventures!
