Big Things Can Come From Small Packages

Am usually in the bigger the bait bigger the fish camp, and when the going gets tough, will almost always try to upsize. As was the case recently, it was small fish after small fish and eventually found my self up to 3 and 4 inch plastics.....with just more small fish. While I am pig headed, the writing was on the wall and had to downsize.....to the point that it was the ratsos and bro bugs that were finally turning on the large fish. Go figure.....got a 7inch fish to hit a 4 inch gulp, but this is what it took for the biggins! Bottom line is that its fine to stick with and work a plan, but when that is failing miserably, always be willing to change it.....wether open water or on the ice.

Nice fish Push, it was the opposite up my way this saturday, my son was drifting a jig and sucker minnows, and I was trying to finesse the fish, he ended up catching the pigs while I manned the landing net all day

there is nothing better than taking kids fishing and not having the time to wet a line yourself because they are catching so many fish. Great job guys.

That is the kind of thing that makes fishing so addicting. Figuring out daily, or even hourly patterns, is what makes calling it quits so hard. They more I fish the less I think I know about them sometimes... Nice fish guys!
