Over air tv

I want to get rid of Direct TV but before I do I would like to know what channels (if any) come in on antenna at Lake of the Woods ?  ( Morris Point , Long Point area) Can anyone tell me ? Thanks

Why not just watch movies and do away with the Direct TV.

Hotspot wi-fi from your phone and use a fire stick/roku/chromecast, etc.

Thats what we do... I have a sling box at home that streams my cable over the internet to the fish house. It lets me change channels, watch the DVR, ect...... basically everything that I can do at home. Just make sure you have an unlimited data plan.

And that you have good cell coverage from your carrier, not roaming, for data.

First, you need a cell phone with unlimited data and good data coverage for the area in question.   That can be iffy in more remote rural areas. Most likely up there that means att or Verizon. 

Then you need to activate the "hot spot" feature on your phone.  This may be an extra charge from your provider.   This makes your phone into a wireless router wifi access point.    You can then use any one of several devices that attach to your tv to stream programming from the internet to your tv.

I have Direct at home but the idea is to drop it and save $100.00 a month. I have a smart phone from Verizon and it works well most of the time but if I upgrade to unlimited plan I may as well stay with Direct.
