Lazer Synthetic vs regular Lazer hand auger

So what is the difference between the Lazer Synthetic and just a plain ole Lazer hand auger when it comes to cutting ice with a hand drill?  Lazer Synthetic is lighter but does it cut any better?

I've never seen anyone use the lazer synthetic. From what I can tell/researched the lazer synthetic uses a polyurethane molded cutting head that the blades mount on. I guess it is supose to be better since it can't/won't get bent like a lazer auger where the blades are mounted directly to the metal. If the metal gets bent it throws the blade pitch off and causes a lot of issues trying to cut.

The price they have on them is just stupid. The weight difference compared to the normal hand auger is like 1lb or less. If a guy wants to have an auger with the poly molded cutting head just look up Thunder Bay augers. Amazon was selling them for $59 for an 8in with a poly molded cutting head that the blades mount to.
