and a sunset.  moon was distorted when it first popped up. not good moon pics this time but fun watching it. 12 minutes it was behind clouds. I gotta figure out how to get a better pic with snow on the ground.

Looks like you had great position, for your snow you might try setting your white balance to K and setting it toward the blue range somewhere between 3800-4300 K.  Then if you post process in Light Room or Camera Raw you can use the white balance tool and pick and click on the area in the snow that is closest to natural white. Use the slider to adjust the white up or down.  That has helped me shooting snow in low light.

I have sky portal on my phone so I can get a good idea where the moon will pop up.  got the strawberry moon in the spring. it popped up by a farm about a mile south of this one. so I sit on a nice road and drive fast if I am off a bit.
