Thats what I feel like doing with these temperatures! It sure doesn't feel like hunting season. By the time it cools down we are going to be eating turkey and singing carrols (sp?). Last week they said highs in the 60's for this weekend, now they are saying high 70's, as hard as my dogs run that just gets dangerous for me and them. Just venting, anyone else frustrated by the warm temps?

its kind of funny, last year for pheasant opener, some spots in South Dakota were close to 90 degrees. Could be alot different this year, but I guess you never know. If anything the cooler weather isnt as hard on the dogs as the heat is.
Man, all this talk about birds and dogs. I cannot wait to get out and put some holes in the sky smile.gif

I know I'm ready for it to start cooling down and I probably won't get to on a "real" hunt until the end of Oct!!! I was going to do an early Oct grouse trip but with the warm temps and low grouse count I'm having second thoughts.
