Getting Excited

Recommended Posts

He's actually a lab/springer mix, if you didn't know you would never be able to tell. My wife got him as a pup one weekend when I was out of town, I have never been so [PoorWordUsage]ed off in entire life as the day I came home to him, we were talking about getting a dog, but not a mix. Turns out he is the best hunting dog I have owned, will literally hunt for 8 hours straight chasing pheasants, will not stop to rest even if I do. That's the springer in him. Hunts ducks like a champ too. He's 4 now and I wouldn't trade for anything.

My gsp just started to figure things out last year and I hope to put him on lots and lots of birds this year! I can't wait grin.gif
I make a trip to Iowa and the area that I hunt has gotten 14 inches of rain in the last month. Should I bring the waders or my jon boat and try to jump shoot them?
P.S. My shorthair is a great swimmer just in case.
