say_der
After cruising through the 2004 regulations, I didn't find a clear definition of wheather or not non-toxic shot is a requirement for dove hunting. If I am not wearing blaze orange, then non-toxic shot is required. If I wear blaze orange, then I can hunt with lead (not that I want to). Mark Christianson
Thats a new one.Just a guess, but I would think shooting doves, would carry the same rules as hunting pheasants. Just a guess at this time. But, maybe its different since its a migratory bird.I better figure it out, cuz I am gonna run around after them. Norsk Fisker
Check out the regulation book. I think page 51 has a good summary of the regs.Like ba$$ said, doves are migratory birds, so the regs are different than other upland hunting. Blaze is not required. The lead vs steel issue will be based on where you hunt.A new learning curve. Adjusting to the regs will be easier than adjusting one's lead.
