First edibles of the year for me.

Found a bunchof early ramps.  Picked a few to get a sample, but I'll be going back when they get a little bigger.

Saw a few growing along the bike path outside of houston the other day.Mushrooms soon to follow!

Picked my first wild leeks on Monday afternoon. The larger ones had a pretty good sized bulb already. Once the soil warms up some more and we get some moisture the morels will pop.

We've got the moisture up here now, just waiting on a couple warm sunny days, and the morels should be popping up like crazy!!!! I can't wait!!!

Ramps are something I've never actively sought, but would love to do so. Any tips on terrain, soil, grows near this tree, or that stream, or...? I live in the northern part of the state, so maybe I am early yet?
