Deet
What little knick-knacks do you love having in your fish house?Father-in-law just bought a new 6 x 6' x 7'H permanent house, and it's not all set up yet. It does have lights and receptacles with a generator hook-up, and he already has the right sized heater. So, I was thinking:- some wall-mounted rod holders (for dead-sticking)- wall-mounted bump board- camp chairs, or other type of small, comfortable chairs- small corner-mount fan (to push heat down)any other ideas? He already has everything a guy would ever need for fishing, but I thought it would be nice to have some stuff specifically for that fish house so he doesn't have to swap gear around all the time. Thanks!
Deet
Pretty sure the lights are LED and can hook up battery vs generator. No sleeping in this thing - two or three guys seated will fill it. Radio is a good thought. He has one but a new small one to fix to the wall might be cool. Thanks

Have you checked out the Lewandowski rattle reel and rod holders, they work well and are removable and just the small bracket remains.Led hole lightsHole sleeves and or covers so things don't fall down the hole so easily
Getanet
Yes, a radio is nice to have. If he doesn't have rattle reels those would be perfect too. Otherwise a propane grill that runs on the 1lb tanks he could leave there would be nice. Nothing's better than a hot burger or brat in the ice shack and that would be one less thing to have to haul out each time. Or a propane cook stove if he prefers soup or chili. A small folding table would be useful too. If he likes cribbage, I know a lot of guys like to play that while passing the time. Finally, if he intends to leave his house on a specific lake, a map of the lake he would put on the wall would be interesting, particularly one with a lot of detail. When the fishing is slow he could spend a lot of time figuring out where to move the house to next.

Moon Lake Refuge
Wiring a tip up to the house is going to be the first project I do when our house is done. Having a light go off prevents jittery people like me from getting up every 30 seconds to check it!
leechlake
a photo of you and him or a framed photo of him and others fishing. Thoughtful gifts work good for those that have a lot of stuff. 60mike

They work ok in the daytime when you're awake but they're not loud enough to wake me at night, I went back to the wooden ones with bells in them. rustysetter
