Whats your favorite braut recipie.

Getting ready to do some brauts, I have one in mind, but they dont sell braut cassing with the kit, i can get them at any grocery store that makes thier fresh brauts or a meat matket. but most braut recipes call for 25 lbs. so in order to not get kinda tired of them I want a really good braut. whats your hands down fav that you cant wait to make.??

Boar, Curley's sell a good brat seasoning and they do start off with the 10 pound pack.  I would stay away from the kit's.  Your better off just buying the seasoning and the casings seperately.  You can buy casings like you said from any place that make their own sausage.  I go to the Cub store by my house and buy casings that are enough for 25 pounds.  So if you only make 10 pounds then you can put the rest of the casings in a plastic tub [tupperware] with salt.  Then use it another time.  They keep well that way.  You don't want to freeze casings, just refrigerate with salt.  Also you want to rinse the casings when you get them to get the salt off and also rinse them out on the inside too.  Then keep them overnight in a dish with water so they will soften up for easier use.  good luck.
