setterguy
What are your main goals for this dog? And How old is the dog? Where do you live, what kind of hunting are you going to be doing with the dog? These are all questions to ask before deciding on a trainer. Some are more gearded to field trial dogs, others do better with foot dogs. Some handle continental breeds better. If you give me a little more info I can "point" you in the right direction. Where did you get the dog and what is its breeding?setterguy
STILLNOFISH
Radke 22,Given your location, I would recommend Good Going Kennels in Baldwin Wisconsin. My Weime just go back from there and I feel they did an excellent job in helping my dog brush up on her skills. Jason Gooding is the trainer there and does a wonderful job of educating you on how to continue the training he as been doing with your dog and at a very reasonable rate. I live in Stillwater so it was only a 20 minute drive for me. They breed setters, so I would assume they are very familiar with the breed. Good Luck to you. greenman
If you have a pointing breed I'd recommend joining NAVHDA and learn to train the dog yourself. You'll learn more about your dog and understand the process better. But if you're looking for a trainer to get a dog ready for this season I'd get on the phone as most reputable kennels will be full up.
