Wire Haired Vizla

Anyone ever seen such a beast? Saw an ad in Gun Dog mag. Is this a recognized breed? Or is this a sales gimmick like red and silver labs? Could make one heck of a hound for late season birds up in this cold country.

Saw one of these on TV dog show (Westminster type show) this weekend. Had wiry hair and a bit of a mustache on both sides of the mouth.

thye wouldn't have any advantage over a german short hair as far as climate tolerance goes. we had one at our place. nice dog. they look alot like the short ahir(color wise) but they have a thin wiry coat, and the moustache looking thing as afore mentioned. not real familiar with the breed as far as history or temperment.
