This one was in VA.  I got pics of a nice one here a few years ago.  I was out checking a trail came and it landed on my pack. I'll see if I can find the pic. Got into ivy that day also. grrrrr. lol

Thanks, I love new to me things, there is so many around us everyday that we just don't realise are there.  As I get older I try and pay more attention now.

Memory tricked me, it was a stick bug. LOL..

I see mantis are listed in MN. I always thought the buzz sound I hear in august was a praying mantis. maybe, maybe not. cicada maybe.
