Japan reels

Has anyone tried the Japan version of the shimano spinning reels(Biomaster, Twin Power, Ultegra)? Ive heard great things about them. They are supposed to be much better than the US shimanos and with about the same price. Just wondering if anyone has had experience with one.

Most of these versions of the Shimano reels for example, are made by and are the same "Shimano" reels sold here in the US. The overseas company simply manufacturers the reels for Shimano and Shimano simply has their name stamped on the reel instead of Twin Power, etc.

It's really true that you pay a lot for a name.
