leech~~
How are you handling it? Setting up cam ahead of time? What are you using to mount it and where? Not sure I can get a nice Walleye and my fat head in the same shot at arms length!
MattL
I fish by myself alot and use a gorilla pod flexible tri pod on my camera. I just set it up on the deck and kneel down. I put the fish in the livewell temporarily while setting up the timer and pull it out once the 10 second timer starts ticking. After a while you get pretty good at it. These are all "selfies". leech~~ and Tom Sawyer

Cicada
I put the camera on my front seat with the camera set at the widest angle (lowest mm number), on forced flash to fill some harsh shadows and on the 10 second delay. Sit in the back of the boat and try to hold the fish closest to the middle of the frame. Keep a little bend in your elbow. Don't stiff arm it at the camera or spoon the fish. Something that looks comfortable and natural. Then, at home crop out everything except you and the fish. Being the fish is in the middle of the frame at the wide angle setting, it will be slightly exaggerated. Don't feel the need to include all of you. Just your head and shoulders and the fish. Thanks Matt. Sounds like a good setup. Most of the time I'm out in pretty rough water and bouncing around pretty good. Hope I can get a few of the C&R fishing I have been letting go. MattL
Cicada posted some good info above. Don't be too concerned with getting the shot perfectly framed. You can use the default photo editor on your computer to crop and straighten photos when you get home.
