Anybody Still After Them?

nothing frustrates me more than hunting them hard in the woods, and then seeing some of them doing their thing along the shoulder of a busy highway mid afternoon in the rain out in the wide open clear of any cover lol

​Yep, these kind of sightings just make me even  more determined to fill those tags next year.

The worst is after a long stretch of early mornings, crappy weather, and quiet birds that are few and far between, it never fails that a family member or friend, in response to your complaining, says "oh yeah, those stupid birds are EVERYWHERE!  I almost hit one with my car right in the middle of town last week!"  Sometimes it's hard to keep from screaming in those situations!  It's also what makes chasing them so dang addicting.  They are so good at taunting you.  I'm already looking forward to May of 2016.

Or you have been hunting all over and your sister calls to tell you there are 3 toms strutting plus some other turkeys running around the field at dad's house. Then when you show up she shows you picture of them in front yard and now they are gone.
