RECALL NOTICE OF STRIKEMASTER® LITHIUM LAZER™ ICE AUGERS

Rapala has learned that, under certain circumstances, it is possible for the trigger switch on StrikeMaster® Lithium Lazer™ ice augers to fail. In such circumstances, the trigger switch cannot be used to stop the rotation of the drill. To ensure the safety of our customers, and to maintain Rapala’s high standards of quality, Rapala is voluntarily recalling all StrikeMaster® Lithium Lazer™ ice augers.

Customers can either return their Lithium Lazer™ ice augers to the retailers from which they purchased their augers for a full refund, or they can contact StrikeMaster Customer Service toll free at 877-572-7278 or [email protected] to obtain instructions on how to return their auger, at no cost to them, to Rapala, in exchange for either a full refund or a $700 credit on http://www.rapala.com.

We take great pride in the quality and performance of our products, and apologize for any inconvenience this causes you.

so whats everyone going to do, get an ion or try their new one to replace it?

Or just get the Honda powered Strikemaster that starts in 2 pulls and is oderless and never have to worry about replacing batteries. But I guess gas engines scare most guys away grin

Wish I would have bought one when Reeds had them marked down to like $450 or whatever it was. Coulda used that $700 credit for a lazer mag and a new flasher!

Although I'm sure they are all out of lazer mag's on the site so I'd be stuck waiting until next year.

On my second season with no issues at all and 100% gas free. DeWalt DCD990 and the Clam Drill Plate is the best thing since slice bread. NAIFC, UPL and TE this is the number one used electric auger setup in all tournament fishing. There is no arguing with the success this combo has had!!
