Chip for hummingbird 597ci hd?

Just got a 597ci to mount on the 4wheeler and have been looking for a chip for it, either Lakemaster or navionics? Going to lake Winnipeg and need GPS with good maps.

if you go to the navionics web site and click on webapps it will show you which lakes that are covered on their chip. It all depends on which lakes you fish. I have both chips and the navionics covers more of the lakes I fish then the Lakemaster does

I have navionics but only fish local. Great choice though!

I have a lakemaster 4.0 I do like it, I have never seen what a navonics chip does so cannot comment on it. I do like the simplicity of my chip. Easy to use and just put it in and it was already working

the major difference between the chips is that they don't all have the same lakes on them. The one that I'm familiar with is big detroit,lakemaster covers it great,while navionics the lake is just about like looking at the MnDnr lakefinder

I have the latest Navionics Premium Hotmaps North and I've found it to be highly inaccurate on at least three lakes in my area that are supposed to be in HD. Don't know about lake maps in the area your seeking. Should be listed on the lake list on their HSOforum.

Sunken structure is off by as much as 1/8 of a mile and sometimes not even shown. Structure I know to be in certain places don't even show on my GPS with the Nav. With all the rocks in the lakes around here, I would like to have a bit of warning when a five foot reef is near. In all fairness I still need to compare them to each other. It could be the GPS unit in my Elite five which is the problem.

I end up relying mostly on my Lakemaster 2009 chip in my H2O.
