How do you fish them?

I tried florida rigging them with the hook buried.

I have tried with the jig hooks.

do you swim them? bounce them? dead stick them.

I fish mainly for large mouths on the lakes I go to. So just curious as to how people use them.

thanks in advance

Texas rigged for largemouth - use a slip worm sinker (peg it with a rubber band tied just above when your in heavy cover).

Fishing smallies on rocks, I'll use a standard jighead sometimes, but for LM I always T-rig tubes.

Man... there are a ton of ways to fish a tube.. and there are equally as many different tubes on the market.

I fish tubes on a texas rig.. I fish tubes on a jig head.. I fish tubes on a carolina rig... I fish tubes on a dropshot... I have a digital camera.. but not web page to put them on to upload to here.. but fish them like any other plastics... just fish them!

Tubes are a great bait to use in a number of situations. I always have a tube on one of my rods. I love to fish them on deep weedlines. They can be really effective to use on bodies of water where the weedlines get pounded with jigs or worms. They can also be used for flipping heavy cover, skipping under docks, swimming over flats, the list goes on and on. Defininetly one of the most versatile baits you can use. I've even seen people wacky rig them, never tried it though myself.

I have one question, does anyone know why berkley quit making their 4 inch pro power tube and changed to a 4 inch flipping tube? I love those 4 inch pro powertubes. The slimmer profile of the pro tube gave it a different action than all the flippin tubes. They had been one of my go to baits until i lost my last one a couple weeks ago. Does anyone know of anyplace that still sells them?

Tubes work great, fishin them on top, in the middle or on the bottom. My personal fav. colors for tubes would be black-blue, black-red, or brown-orange, although just plain brown works great as well. I will texas rig them on an extra wide gap superline hook (size 2/0 or 3/0).

Just yesterday me and a friend of mine were out fishing in the metro area and ended up catching 9 nice bass - biggest 5 were 17.5in, 18in, 18.5in, 19in, and 21inches all caught on tubes in the thick weeds. These are great baits and when you learn to fish them and start to get great confidence in them you will absolutley love 'em. I always have one rigged up when I'm out on the water.

I used to use the ones from gander that you can hand pick yourself, but they were out of the color black-blue so I bought some YUM tubes, and they seemed to work great. I will probably buy these kind from now on.

And yes I use the same kind for fishing docks and thick weeds. I usually use about a 4in tube and I try to find the ones that are a little thicker. I find that when I use thicker or bigger profile tubes I have a better chance of getting into or catching bigger bass.
