wood deck on snowmobile trailer?

I just bought a new 2 place open snowmobile trailer. Does anyone seal the treated plywood deck on these? Also what other accessories are considered as necessary to keep the trailer in good shape. This is my first snowmobile trailer.

First, The carbides on the skis really beat up the wood. If I was you I'd buy some of those plastic runners for the skis. It'll last longer for sure.

Second, and probably more important just from a general usability standpoint, is to get something screwed on there for the track to grip onto when you're driving on. They make grip pads for this, but I just bought a used track off a guy, cut it in half, and put a section on each side of my two place trailer.

Third, get a salt shield if you don't have one yet. You'll be amazed at how much salt they keep off your sleds and ice house and whatever else you carry back there.

I also jack mine up so water runs off and dries out. I also have the plastic runners for the skies and rubber mat for the track to run on. I don't think you will gain much by sealing it. My deck is still the original and is about 18 years old and will still go many more years and sits outside year round.
