leechlake
2 ways to do this. Wrap a tot with bacon and sprinkle some brown sugar on top or add small chunk of cheddar cheese and then wrap. 25 minutes at 400 in oven. If you put it tot down then you don't have to flip half way through. If you put bacon down you need to flip half way through.
McGurk
Tater tots? I like mine pretty simple, I guess. Pix please!
ThunderLund78
Love me some tots, but how do you incorporate the cheese? Seems to me that the the shrinking bacon would just squeeze most of it all over the pan and burn? Either way, it sounds too good not to try. leechlake
I've made jalepeno poppers with cream cheese in them for years. I don't know what the magic is but it mostly get's sealed in by the bacon. A bit oozes out but it's some law of physics that does it.One suggestion my son made was to use a cookie cooling rack so they don't sit in the grease in the oven. Probably a good plan to keep them a little less greasy.
pushbutton
Love the idea, not much better in life than bacon, cheese, and , well, anything. A not so serious concern is the crunchiness of the tot......love my tots firm Does the bacon cooked over them and not being exposed make them mushy? leechlake
they aren't mushy but they aren't crisp either. BTW, they should be thawed before cooking, forgot to mention that.Keeping them out of the grease should help being more crisp. For a crisp one I'd think a deep fryer would do the trick.
