Is it worth getting a (Recon) FL22 ?

I was looking at The FL22 I like the features and has warranty, but they dont make them anymore so what about fixing if something goes wrong. What does everybody think.

It's a nice solid unit. works great. however if you ever fish deeper then 60ft get the FL20 then.

I Love my FL22.IMO its the best unit for Hard water if you Do Not fish over 60ft.Wich i never will.Vexilar will always be able to service them.

I agree with Lawrence, if the unit ever goes south you won't have a problem getting it repaired.

I got a reconditioned fl22 in 2012. Went down to Vexilar and picked it up. They went through it and checked e erything out to make sure it was working right while I was standing there in the service department. Real nice guys. Even got a full warranty with it. Great unit, I love mine.

Get it and don't look back. The 22 is a fine unit. It is the one I use the most for tournament fishing and it is the one I have mounted on my Ice Hopper. I use my FLX-28 when I am social fishing or in the hard-sider; last year the 22 got 10x the usage hours that the 28 did.
