Have and old rod from twenty years ago. Any spinning reel i put on it causes tue rod blank itself to jump with each rotation of the spool. Even with the smallet reel. Looking at trying an n lne reel, whats a qquality in line reel. For around fifty bucks

Gander is blowing out the wicked 6061 for fity bucks. Don't own one..... but probably the best one out there for that price, it was a hundred ish when it came out. Think it is online only.

I just bought this to put on a new custom rod. Can't wait, it feels very well made. I own and have used both of the Eagle Claw inlines last season. I really like their more expensive option (Black w/ Red Spool).

I'd recommend going with the Eagle Claw inline reel for $24.99. I've used it for two seasons now and love it. Drag system works well and love the free spool feature. However, No. 8 Company makes an inline this year for $34.99 that looks good too and is getting good reviews so far.

I just got off the ice for the first time this year and my first fish was a 17" bass on my noodle rod with an eagle claw inline reel spooled with 2 lb and I must say the drag worked better than I thought it would.
