I have one and love it. My buddy bought the same one for his box. they make some great accessories that slip on and off of them as well. I have the auger carrier and bucket. Love what I can carry safe and secure with it. I believe I have the med size.

you see a three ring bucket holder I also mounted on the rack. I have since taken the three ring bucket holder off because the box alone carries so much stuff.

Her you go this one is on a 2008 Outlander Max. The rear seat still fits and the box works awesome for us.

my only concern is how much overhang there is off the back ??? i hate to lose my tail lights and my little glove compartment that opens on the back of the 2015 outlander xt

He has the large box that drops down in the last section. My picture is the medium box that does not drop down. That is the only difference between the two boxes. So if your worried about the part that drops down on his picture buy the medium box.

2012 Yamaha Grizzly with Camoplast trax, Otter Monster Boxes front and back, slide on Otter Auger holder and Sportsman's Box (rod holder) right and left.

To say I am very happy with how this beast does during the ice fishing season would be a vast understatement. It does not get stuck, ever, and I've pulled so many sleds and ATVs out of trouble with this thing, I can't even count. I have both a 1 man and two man thermal X flip ups, but I stopped using both - this thing caries everything, and is the ultimate in mobility. Flip ups are nice for keeping warm, but IMHO a SnoSuit FXE is better than the best thermal shack and one can hole hop/search and pounce with the best of them with this set-up.

Did I spend some money on this? Yes, but not much more than a quality Polaris or Yamaha 2 up utility sled. It is a lot more versatile than a sled, and it carries TON of gear. If you must have a shelter, one can easily carry a small pop-up and a Big Buddy Heater in the rear Moster Box (the large one) and still have plenty of space for other gear in the front.

Nice setup, I have a Grizzly 700 as well and have been thinking about Trax. How are KTRAX different from the Tatou 4S?

I've been thinking about getting a rear Monster box, but I want to keep my front rack clean for my Digger Augger Mount and other small stuff... I heard those Otter Auger holders dull blades when it bounces back & forth inside...

thanks capt spike, i can see the difference now, i am interested in the MEDIUM otter box, i have only a 1 seater outlander, i never carry another fisherman, do you think i can mount the otterbox up far enough so that it doesnt OVERHANG off the back ???? thank you for your input

I really like mine, I was surprised at how water proof it is, you can leave it out in the pouring rain and the inside is bone dry, definitely a quality piece. however I will say two things: They are expensive (I'm sure you know that), and the auger carrier is not what I was hoping for. They only offer it in 10" and if you put your auger in there without a blade cover it will dull the blade.

I've been using the auger carrier since 2008 it never dulled my blades. In fact the blades were starting to cut thru the bottom of the carrier. I need to put a piece of plastic down in there this yr (or travel with the blade cover in place. I also bungee my auger handle to the handle of the carrier so it doesn't bounce around too bad when traveling. If I'm just going from spot to spot where we are setting up I wont bungee the handle, but then I am moving much slower too.

Interesting, its possible it was just a coincidence that I had issues right when I started using the carrier. Also they blade type might matter, ie - a shaver blade is more fragile than a chipper blade.

I had a 8" Jiffy STX ripper blade. I also was using a bungee cord to keep it from bouncing around.

First auger used with the carrier was jiffy model 30, chipper blade. Then I got into Gators (electric) with strikemaster lazer, shaver blade. Now I use nils either electric or gas. I can definitely see where it's cutting thru. I'll be inserting a thin (3/8 thick maybe) wear plate on the bottom. Too thick and your auger wll stick out further.

Oh yeah if you are looking to buy the shield be aware there are two types. One made to work with the box (more $$) and one that is just a shield, doesn't have the mount plate. Nothing would be worse than thinking you found a great buy on the auger shield for the box then get it and find out it was the plain model.
