fish. i mainly fish them two ways. most of the time i push a jig into the hollow body leaving the hook exsposed. ( usually a 1/8 oz.) on 10 # line. i fish these around broken weeds , over flats, or any where that i can get away with the exsposed hook. normally use a twitch and pause routine. hits can be anything from a tick in the line, but mostly you just feel a little extra weight. we alsso use the flipping tubes, texas rigged. this gets used any where , on heavy line. del

Lunker,

Quick question for you on the internal weights. I too have used the insert weights on tubes and I love the concept, but for me, I have missed A LOT of fish because the fish can't crush the tube and expose more of the hook. I've worked with a lot tubes to see if I could pull it off but still seem to miss some fish and opted for the bullshot/peg.

Do you do anything special to increase hooking percentage with inserts.

I like rigging them texas style weightless and skipping docks with them. If I am on lake that is deep and rocky I go with browns, reds, dark blues to imitate crayfish, thus I work right down on bottom.
other wise I usually go with a silver, white, flashy one and work it right in the middle of the water column to the surface making it act like a wounded minnow, tube are the most versatile lures out there. My favorite tube with out a doubt would be skeet reese's wild thang tube!
