Good metro/Duluth region taxidermist-elk

Recommended Posts

A good friend of mine does it out of Hibbing. He has never advertised because his work speaks for itself. All word of mouth! He has low overhead which keeps his prices reasonable. His specialty is big game. He got offered to teach taxidermy at a local college as well. PM me and i could send you his info and email you pics of his previous work

Wings and Things Taxidermy... East Bethel....Chris Wallace I believe. One of the very best. He has done mounts for Michael Waddel, the Lakosky's and many others. He does some of the very best work I have seen.

Do not just give it to any taxidermist. Look at his work.. preferably lots of there work. Look up Wings and Things on Facebook they have good pics. probably also have a w e b s ite.

He did a deer for me in 1996 that looks like it just stuck its head thru the wall. Ultra realistic.

Look at other taxidermists as well. The extra time doing your research will be well worth it.

Congrats on the Trophy Elk

Steve

Sorgy is right do your research. I have plenty of mounts on the wall and I have researched many other taxidermist close to home but only one lives up to my standards. That is Northstar Taxidermy in Nicollet. He has a HSOforum and Facebook page with all of his work. His mounts are top quality.

Chris at W&T does a pretty fantastic job. He's done several whitetails for me. He's expensive, but worth every penny considering (at least in my case) I look at these things nearly every day, about 300 days a year. He's very anal about his work, pays attention to detail, which is a good thing. His shop is not much to speak of, but the work speaks for itself.

Chris is the best around. I think he may be in Kansas right now, I saw a picture yesterday of a dead 8 pointer...
