New Scentblocker

Recommended Posts

I just received an order of new scent blocker and since the bags aren't tightly sealed do I take care of it as I do my older stuff and wash in scent blocker wash and hang it or should I just spray it with scent away and hang it?

Seen one study, lot of that scent stuff, including the one above mentioned didn't really work. I think they had dogs try to locate people using it or not. It made no difference at all to the dogs.

We humans stink, that is all there is to it.

I think it is better than nothing. But too many people think it is a cure all. Your scent is still out there. Maybe filtered or covered up to some degree.

It always amazes me, you take your dog for example, put wet rubber boots on that you think will have no scent, take a walk. Your dog will have zero problem tracking you down.

That's no fair. Not a good comparison. Your dog can find you anywhere.

But in all seriousness, I would just do what they suggest - the manufacturer. Or call them to find out. Never owned any of that but I don't knock those who do. Whatever gives you an edge so long as you play the wind. More power to you.

“Like all odor-adsorption technologies, our fabric must come into contact with odors for the odors to become trapped,” Edberg said. “If you give odor an easy way out, it’s going to take it. Don’t leave the top of your jacket or your cuffs open. You have to force the odors through the fabric.”

Like Carbon Alloy, you can regenerate Trinity apparel by putting it in a dryer on high for 40 minutes. Robinson Outdoors recommends only washing Trinity clothing when soiled, as washing breaks down the fabric more quickly.
