Reciever Hitch??

Recommended Posts

So we're having debate at work this morning....is there actually a bonifde law on the books in MN that makes it illegal to have your reciver hitch installed when your not actually towing anything? (Stemming from the incident at the gas station this morning when a gal backed into my brothers truck and his hitch went through her bumper at which time she pulled away and yanked the bumber cap off)LOL! Please...no "I think or I heard...heresay answers".

No, there is not in Minnesota. However, if the hitch sticks out a significant amount past the vehicle's bumper, you CAN be tagged, especially if you are in an accident. It's the officer's discretion.
