UPOW
Looking to do a day trip from Outing to Leech for ice fishing. Never ice fished Leech before just wondering what would be the best place to get on the lake with a truck and portable when ice permits. Looks like there is a boat landing in Whipholt on the big part of the lake or would Walker Bay be the best bet? Is there any decent spots where you could walk out early ice? Thanks for any help. loadmaster
No more public landing at Whipholt not sure about private. You could think about Stoney Point.
Gofishleech
Early ice in walker bay you can walk out and get on fish. There is a break just out from the park access in town. The break has some nice little fingers as the structure runs north n/e. I would fish it in 20 to 35ftAs for later when trucks are out there is access at city park but its not maintained. Can also get on at Erickson landing north of town 3 mile or so but this one is also un-maintained. On the big lake a couple of the resorts offer paid access. Ron Vroom
What are the resorts that have paid access on main lake.
Darrell68
There's two I know of on Pine Point. One is Grand View and the other is __ Dutch Harbor. I think it starts with a "B". I think it was $10 bucks for access last time I was up there.Hope this helps.
JigginIsLife
Stoney point and pine point, i believe both are maintained by the state, I have gotten on stoney fairly easy as someone out there maintains a road, so if you see anyone throw them a tip, other than that. Walker bay straight out of the park is a decent bet. I dont fish down there but it is always plenty busy.
Ron Vroom
I think you might be referring to Brinley's Harbor Resort on Pine Pt. Their HSOforum says they don't provide road access to non-guests. I suppose the easiest way to find plowed road access, would be to check with the local bait shops.
