Pheasant Hunting Marshall Area

Recommended Posts

Just a tip for those pheasant hunting in the Marshall area, we had a lot of flooding in late June that knocked out pheasant nests and broods in low lying areas. From what I've seen WMA's with more high ground and hills have a better population than those that are mostly wetlands and subject to flooding. Good luck everyone.

That is very nice of you Ray to give "on the ground" feedback to help your fellow sportsmen/women.

I am holding out hope that many areas had good late broods because of the early rains we had and maybe we will have a surprise year.

hunted the dawson area. was a rough two days. 2nd opener for ducks started the same day which I think spook the pheasant to move in early into corn.Fist day with a 10 hour hunt, saw only 1 rooster which we took down. Im sure they're all in the corn fields. Had some buddies of mine in the talcot lake area with a little better result.
