Crow Hassan archery hunt

Hello everyone!

Wondering if anyone here has had any experience hunting the crow Hassan archery hunt. A few friends of mine have been selected to participate and just wanted to see if anyone had any tips on what to expect. I have never done any park hunt before. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Send me a PM for hunting tips but would also love to here about the hunt itself.

We hunted it last year. Saw a lot of deer. Study aerials for pinch points and then check them out on foot during the scouting period. Sit all day as guys will push deer around midday.

Do hunters typically congregate to a particular portion of the property?

When did your friends get their notification in the mail? I applied too but I'm traveling for work. It sounds like good news for me. They notify the unsuccessful people via email and I haven't received an email yet. I'm hoping to get home on Friday to a permit in the mailbox!

Sorry, I have no advice for your friends. I hunt the other 3 Rivers archery hunt (Murphy Hanrehan).

Not sure when they got them. I travel for work as well and came home last week to it in the mail

Hunted it twice in the last 4 years. Got a nice doe the first time. Lots of nice bucks in there also. Kind of a nice change of pace with the thin buck numbers in greater Minnesota. Tell them to get out there early to claim a spot, like 2hrs before daylight. Shouldn't have a problem then. Like stated, sitting all day would be a good idea.
