tisosy11
I use to have a 26" LCD that I took off the wall and stored in a travel case screen down over the summer and when traveling. I believe this damaged my screen and have since upgraded to a 32" LCD.I was wondering what some of my options are for finding a way to store this TV while going down the road or not in use. I also don't want to get the same streaks that formed on the 26".I don't fell comfortable leaving it hanging on the wall either.
Nordern
I set mine on the corner of a bunk wrapped in a sleeping bag and have never had a problem.

Redlineracer12
I used to take mine down every trip (wall mount) and stick it in back in the original box and carried it in the cab of the truck standing upright. That was a huge pain, I since beefed up my wallmount and am now just leaving it up. I didn't even like bringing the TV before because it was such a hassle to setup. harvey lee
Mine comes off the hanging mount from the ceiling and get laid on top of one of the beds. very safe there. I may not need to remove it from the mount but better safe than sorry. I can remove it in a matter of minutes so I go the extra for safety's sake. OutlawBiz
If you are concerned about the wall mount not holding sufficiently...I've seen guys use strategically placed bungee cords / hooks on the wall that loop over the TV that help keep it from 'wiggling' during transport. When you get to the lake, unhook the bungees and no one would even know you used them
highlife4me
I would have to believe that a tv is more likely to be broken taking it on and off a mount than leaving it hanging. There are thousands of televisions hanging on mounts inside of Rvs and wheel houses and I can't remember ever hearing of one being broken while hanging on the wall. But I do know of one that was dropped one the ice, I think alcohol may have been a factor and no it was not me.
SnowGuy73
I have a quick disconnect wall mount, I take it off and wrap it in a pillowcase and then wrap it in a comforter. No problems.
