Praire Dog hunting, NE Montana??

We have a whitetail deer trip planned for the Glasgow, MT area.. As we all know the deer hunting has really gone down due to the weather/disease etc...

SO were looking to do some prairie dog hunting to keep the annual trip going until the deer population comes back.

is there anywhere to hunt around the Glasgow/fort peck area?? We would be willing to travel a little bit in order to get some shooting in. We will be staying in Glasgow.

we will be out there the weekend of oct. 24th.

We were in Terry last year goat hunting and stumbled upon a few dog towns but didn't bring any .223 with, I would bet you will run into some out there.

I hunted goats north of Forsyth 3 years ago and we had a ball whacking them in our spare time. Ask the ranchers and you may be golden. We all ran out of ammunition!

Thanks for the 2 locations. That's always a option but was really hoping to find something closer to glasgow. The 2 locations mentioned are 3-4 hours away.

North of ft. Peck would be fantastic.

I know of a couple small dog towns near Fairview. Only about 2.5 hours from Ft. Peck. Tons of yotes in the area to keep you busy too. PM me for directions if interested.

WE hunted elk in the Charles M Russell National wildlife refuge but when we left Glascow and headed to the river area to hunt, we saw numerous area's one could have done a lot of dog shooting. I believe it was on the Page Whitman land and Cattle company property where we were hunting. Matt and Angie Page are the owners and they run 100,000 acres. I have to believe they would know of some dog locations on their ranch.

Their ranch or home is approx. 10 miles west of Glascow but they have land in numerous locations. There home place is along the Milk river, they have awesome whitetail hunting also.
