superlines for jigging?

I was wondering if anyone uses a floro/mono
leader w/jig n'pig or pitching lures in general? I used 8/30 power pro last season and I love the way it comes off the reel.I am wondering if a floro leader would work better for those "wary" fish or if really matters.I did catch fish without a leader but can I increase my odds by using one?
Also, does anyone have a reliable knot for connecting the two lines?I just hate to rip on a nice fish and lose it due to a poor knot.
Thanks for the responses.Good Luck!!

I've lost some good fish by using a fluoro leader on superline. I now tie directly to the superline or use all fluoro when needed. I don't really think the color of the line is as big a factor as the weight of the line. The heavy line hinders action and makes the bait less "real" looking.

I normally dont use a leader either, unless I'm in superclear water(and even then I dont think the fish can tell what a fishing line is) I tie on a fluoro leader. Use this knot,http://www.stren.com/knot11.htm , I have never broken at the knot with this one.
