Hit my river bottom yesterday morrn to bait. Snuk in this afternoon hit good and had a no show. Tuats ok. Realy thougbt it was gona happen. Perfect night . Cool temps and no wind. No bear.

Had 3 brought in today, 124, 225, 318. My buddy had a small one on the bait and past it up.

3 more brought in today. 142, 301, 352. Will lay the hides out tomorrow and get pics.

I'm at work trying to get everything wrapped up for the day dreaming of being in the stand. I will be out there around 2pm today!!!

No pics to show as of right now. We had 5 guys/girls out on Monday morn and evening and nothing showed up. In the area the we hunt, it seems like every year we have got more and more four wheelers cruising the trails 24 hours a day, had a few guys show up at the gravel pit at 6:30 mon night and must have rattled off 75 shots in about 15 minutes. That's the bad thing about opening day coinciding with labor day. hopefully things will calm down during the week and they will be a little more apt to move. that and it sounds like we are going to cool off by the weekend.

No idea where the bear was shot, but looks like the folks who shot it were from Eaton Rapids, Michigan according to their shirts! Nice bear!

I wanted a rug but everyone tells me I can't with such a nice bear. I'm not a huge fan of a 3/4 mount but that is what I went with.

That is an awesome bear!! I did a 3/4 mount with one a few years ago. I really like the way it turned out.

I'm board , about to give up on this bear thing and move on to deer in a few days . Then SD in three weeks .

I must not know what I'm doing , one bait got cleaned out by a nice bear late at night but I got sick of crosing the deep swamp to feed him

Cant ask for a better bear then that, congrats. I'm in area 26, north of deer river. I process deer and skin, cool, and quarter bear for people.
