bigred1974
Anyone have any info on these? weight? price?
Brad B
weighs in at 160 Pounds and has a retail of $1049.99 for the one you put together yourself or you can get it already built for $1249.99. I think this house will set a new standard in thermal houses. Check out Clams site for complete details.
fisherman-andy
$200 extra just to have one pre-assembled? I think I would rather put it together it myself at that cost.
gonehunting
I like to see Clam stepping up their game a bit. I've always been an Otter guy but this Clam shelter looks a lot higher quality than some of their lower end line. I think to top some of the their other competition they've added extra thermal values. It may be warmer but also adds to weight which makes no difference if pulling with an atv or snowmobile. I have an Otter Lodge XT900 and it's hard imagining being warmer than that. $200 for assembly seems like a lot of money to me but don't be foolish. People will pay that for the fact they can take out of the box and go fishing. I'm not sure this house sets a new standard for thermal houses but is a nice product for Clam this year. Andy... the assembly includes the hyfax runners and the whole nine-yards. You literally leave the store and hook it up to your snowmobile. The X2 Pro will come loaded with everything too. So far the response we're seeing on the built models is pretty good. The new 1800 denier fabric also blocks out pretty much ALL of the light too. That is something that you won't find mentioned most places but now you have a full thermal sight-fishing house for added versatility. Might not play a huge role to some people but it's amazing what 1800 denier can do! I've seen/used a lot of shelters on the market and the new X2 Pro is definitely in a class of it's own when it comes to performance and durability. A new bar has definitely been set!!
