My vex fl8slt runs but will not light up

Has anyone else had this problem

Any help with this would be great

sounds like the brushes might burned out

I would agree with what monstermoose78 and seagruar both said but am betting it will most likely be the brushes. I would start with trying a new battery first since that is about $20 to $25 for a new one. if that doesn't work then your brushes will need to be replaced. if the brushes are bad send or take the unit to Vexilar and they can clean the unit up and install new brushes in it for a small fee (don't quote me but I would guess about $100 give or take to replace the brushes). they would look at it and then give you a quote before they did any work to it.

If they aren't too hard to get at you should be able to tell by looking at them. Typically they are chunks of carbon stuff.
