Be careful with your Kid?

Not two weeks ago a guy ran over his girlfriend and killed her. Not in a car-in a BOAT. She apparently was sitting up in the bow with her legs dangling over and when she lost he balance-or whatever-she fell off. Right under the boat. Right into the prop. This happens every summer.

Today I saw a boat go smokin' past my place with TWO little kids sitting way up in the bow of some cheap-punked square plastic boat. It hurt me just to look.

Please, for those of you who do this now, look back at some of the stories that have taken place right here in MN. Keep your kids and your wife and yes, your old pal Spot, OFF the &:&%($#$%^ bow of the boat when you are running.

I cannot imagine the aftermath of an accident like that. And I've seen a few bloody messes in my day.

Some years ago the son of a guy down the shore from me lost a leg in the same way. Several young men in his boat.

I have had Coast Guard boat safty training and they show you numerous pictures of people falling off the bow,going under the boat or being sucked in by the prop and cut up and slashed severely by the prop.
