Ultradeck Quickcap?

Recommended Posts

We have a 12x24 deck that is sound, but the original owners of the house painted it with a solid stain. Every year more of the original stain lets loose, and we're constantly scraping and staining (more solid). This year we decided to take it down to bare wood and start over - no easy task. I just ran across an ad for the Quickcap, and it interests me, but I'm not going to drop a $1000 and a lot of work on something we won't be happy with. Anyone have any experience with the stuff?

Thanks!

I took my wood down to the frame which looked like new. Added composite floor and laminated composite over the exposed exterior boards of the frame and stairs. The building store had dimensional material in matching colors. Then added new matching railing. I was able to use my corner railing posts and covered them with composite sleeves and tops. Posts need some material added to the sides for a good fit. Looks great and like it was built from scratch with composite.
