My neighbor and I were out fishing last week and ended up getting poured on while we were out there. He went to turn on his Graph again this past Sunday and his Sonar would work but his GPS wouldn't. I thought these things were sealed really well. Any ideas on stuff to try? Is there a reset that he can do or do you think it just got too wet and it's a loss. I don't think it's a power issue as it turns on but does the GPS need so much power to work? It's an internal GPS as well. I'm just trying to save the guy $500 before he goes and buys another one.

wish I could help ya but I can assure you that they are water proof as I have been out many many times in down pours and driven in the rain with the graph exposed and I have never had an issue. I would suggest to check the connections over and if he knows anyone with the same setup to connect his graph to their boat and see if the same problems continue. If they don't you can figure it is a wire problem...good luck as I love my 522c and hope it doesn't die and I have to go to the new technology!!

I have the same unit. Last summer, after having it since they came out, it leaked and filled with water to the point it would slosh and drip. I tried drying it out but it still doesn't work, although I haven't tried it this year. If sitting over the winter didn't help, it is going out.
