citgo bassmasters

Anyone watched the citgo bassmasters on espn? There has been some good fish footage and showing various techniques being used. I could watch fishing shows all day if they had them on.

St. Paul Sportshow is next week from Jan.7-11 at Rivercenter. This is the smaller of the two. I think the Mpls. one is in March. The boat show is later this month too.

bucketmouth--

i have taped all bassmasters since 2000. i spend my whole winter season watching these shows on the weekends. I have also taped a bunch of FLW tournies as well. There is alot of good information in them, and keeps me up to date with new lures, techniques and patterns to think about when i am out chunkin along. The new bassmaster tv season begins this saturday at 9:30 on espn2...set your vcr....warning---taping these videos may cause pre-mature spring fever symptoms...now that bow season is finished, i already have spring fever and i am ready for this years bass season!!!

EBass--

the software is pretty cool, but if you notice when they track the winners with the gps and show the bottom, and all the other stuff, that these hot spots become made public, i bet those spots get pounded by other fishermen. I had a chance a few years ago to talk with Larry Nixon about his experiences on Lake St. Clair in Michigan, and he had his secret spots publicized in every possible way, and when he returned for other tournaments there were a lot of people already sitting on his spots, he seemed a bit frustrated.
About coming to Tonka, it will never happen, they had a Top 150 here approx 7-8 years ago, they had a lot of problems with the MN DNR, the area lake association, and other things.....some pros had some very bad experiences, and as an organization, they do not have any plans on returning. But maybe the FLW circuit would be back. Jim Moynagh won the last flw on tonka, that would be more probable than BASS coming back!!!
The shows are really cool--with loads of info, and entertainment!!

I guess I'd be ticked to if my spots were on TV, but I will never ever fish these lakes nor will I remember where on the lake, but the locals I suppose would pound the heck outa it. And if they came to Tonka you bet that would be on tape!!

I remember hearing something about BASS Tourney on Tonka and the Sheriff Patrol was giving out tickets for breaking no wake regs. (Did you know Tonka the lake has a rule book?) Found that out the hard way that you can't fish in channels at least when the Sheriff is around.

I just want to fish with a Pro once on Tonka. OK maybe twice grin.gif

It is too bad they wont be back to Tonka again, some of the biggest bag weights ever for BASS were in that tourney. At least the people weren't shooting at the pro's (ala Klien at the Classic in La.)

The shows start early Saturday morning. I think NAF has a show on espn2 6 or 6:30. I think Jimmy Houston has one at 7:30 espn2.
Many of the other shows are on kstc channnel 45(us cable has it on channel 12).
Shows run until 1pm. Unfortunately, bassmasters is on at the sametime 2 other shows are on so you may need to flip back and forth or tape them. None of the shows are on TNN at this point. I think Dance and Grigsby has their shows on TNN but I don't know when they'll be back on. Winkelman has his show on channel 25, sorry I don't know the call letters. But it is the channel the Twins play on a lot.

gentleman,
that's right Bassmasters is on ESPN2 at 9:30, it also will replay throughout this week, all the other shows like AL Linder's Angling Edge, Bill Dance, Shaw Grigsby, Hank Parker, etc. are on the OLN network starting at i believe 7:00 am satudary morning, but there are also show on Friday evening on OLN as well. There were some really good shows this past weekend...it makes the week go buy so much faster when you have something to look forward to on Saturday morning...even though i wish i was out fishing myself.

    • got this tackled today took about 3 hours to get both sides done. Didnt even get to use a torch....   Thought I was golden with just jacking it up and I could get to everything but no luck. Had to remove the entire axle hub and brake assembly to get to what I needed. Was a pain but still better then taking off the entire pivot arm.    Axle bearings were already greased and in great shape thankfully. Got both leaf springs installed and its ready for the road again.   Probably going to have my electric brakes checked, I am not touching anything with the brake drums. Based on what I saw it doesn't look like my electric brakes have been working anyway. Brakes are nice to have if its slippery out
    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
