Guest
Just looking through the pictures and I finally got a way of posting a few pictures so I thought I'd share a few. These are LOW smallies... I have a few more from this past fall that I'll scan and put on in the future. Pherris
I fished LOW this fall for smallies and did well on top water. It seemed if it had a bit of red it did better than lures with no red. They have a tournament out of Sioux narrows in Sept that is a lot of fun called bassinforbucks pretty good fishing too!!Nice fish MJ5[This message has been edited by Pherris (edited 12-03-2003).]
Dan Wood
Nice fish Matt! What type of presentation do you find effective on LOW for smallies?
Guest
I caught those two off of similar presentations. Float jigs tipped with a leech and a split shot about two feet or so up. Just drifted over humps and let the line out so the jig was floating about a foot off bottom. Smallies pounded it. Rattlin Raps caught a lot of smallies off the back sides of rock points as well. Pinched a few brown/red plastic crawdads with a black jig head over the rock piles and smallies ate those up too. Shallow running float raps were awesome for early season smallies up there too. Get the lure about a foot from shore and you had a hit after one or two cranks. Fun time catching those smallies up there!Good Fishin,Matt------------------[email protected]Catch-N Tackle and Bio BaitMarCum
