Micro Guides-Not sure anymore,

I thought these were the fantastic when I first got them but a year or two later I'm starting to wonder. I'm not getting the distance for casting it doesn't seem, but the lightweight rod sure is nice. Anybody else have an opinion after owning some of these rods. Sure don't hear much or see many on the Tournament shows.

Agreed Hawg, Never saw the difference in casting distance or the sensitivity or lightweight difference promised or the elimination of line slap on the cast. A good quality rod with normal guides will give you everything promised by the micro guide rods. I did use the high end Duckett rod for a weekend and although it was a nice rod it didn't compare to a G Loomis with normal guides IMO.
