Dan Wood
Maybe this warm weather will be enough to kick the water temps back up a little.. The bucketmouths seemed to be on the slow side before this warm weather.. Surface temps all the way down to 52 in some areas before this weather (metro). That cool weather came too quick - I was hoping for a little more largie fishing. Anyone out today that has a reading on surface temps? Looks like a great day for anything but work
Dan Wood
Just looking up the river charts, the temp dropped from 78 to 58 over the past month. It has since climbed back up to 60 (pool 4) over the past couple days. Should be about the right temp for the smallies to be smashing.. Lake temps up here seem to be a bit cooler than this, I was reading as low as 52 in clear conditions this past weekend. Mille Lacs full moon night bite or smallie fishing on the river?? tough decisions...
