Anyone smoke drum or sheephead? Tried some a couple weeks ago and give a big thumbs up! Has some oil so doesn't dry out and doesn't have the strong fishy flavor.

Used to have a lake a few miles from the camper that was plump full of them and would target a few times a year. Great smoked and fresh if you do not overcook/smoke 'em. Pretty non distinct flakey white fish that take on the essence of shore lunch very well..... a lot like the state fish......lol. Very underutilized. Suppose they get a bad rap because they are most often found in the dirty river waters picking up rotted dead bait....well....a lot like the state fish.....lol.

I will have to save a few the next time I blowfish a certain lake,we must have shot over 60 in a few hours last Fri night
